We think Home Fellowships can truly be a home for people to grow in their understanding of God, self, and one another. Specifically, they provide a real opportunity to build the kind of community and friendships usually only available in a small church. It's where couples and individuals in all stages of life learn biblical principles - in settings under girded by strong levels of trust.
The who, what, where and when's of Home Fellowships:
What is a Home Fellowship?
A Home Fellowship is a group of 8 to 18 adults (along with kids, if any), meeting regularly in a home, to explore what it means to be a follower of Christ.
What are its characteristics?
What's expected of its participants?
Participants are expected to attend meetings regularly, participate in the group discussion and fellowship activities and to invite others to the group as opportunities arise. Some do homework each week while other groups simply come prepared to discuss the topic or Bible passage for the week. Each groups decides the best approach for them.
Who leads the Home Fellowship?
Leaders are carefully selected based on spiritual maturity, people skills, and active involvement as members of Steadfast Church. They are trained in group leadership and group dynamics by using classroom and "live" settings before they begin leading.
When do groups meet and how often?
Most meet once a week-on whatever day they agree upon. But some find meeting once or twice a month works well for them. Groups work out these details together in the first few meetings.
Where are locations for Home Fellowships?
Currently, there are Home Fellowships meeting throughout central Ohio. Check our 'Find a Group' section for details.
