Men's Ministry

The Battle

Men across the ages have had a unique challenge– keeping our eyes focused on what is truly important.

Work demands, economic pressures and a surge in addictive behaviors have turned the challenge into an all-out battle.

THE BATTLE seeks to keep us both distracted and ineffective during the most important time of our lives-today.

MEN OF IRON Ministry is committed to helping men redeem their days and recapture their lives, making the most of every opportunity we have been given.

We welcome your participation in becoming warriors-men who are committed to fighting the good fight.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross.
- Hebrews 12:2

Equipping

By helping men acquire practical biblical knowledge, we want to equip men to make better, more eternally-focused decisions; wholeheartedly assume proper leadership roles; become ever more contagious with their personal faith; and become disciples of others. We strive to help men understand the practical issues of what the bible has to say about prayer, relational skills, leadership development, workplace issues, being a godly husband and father, and using the unique gifts God had given to each man. By being a resource to all men, we seek to equip seekers, new believers and mature Christ-followers alike.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16,17

Encouraging

We all have busy lives, and we all have a need to be challenged outside of ourselves. By helping men form and hold key relationships with other men, we will create an environment of encouragement. Honest, confidential openness regarding struggles and victories will produce a greater sense of brotherhood among each other. By creating a mentality of both non-judgmental acceptance, and powerful challenge, we will help remind each other to invest our time and energy in the things that truly matter. As men lock arms, pray with and for each other, or share a cup of coffee or lunch, mutual encouragement will be the natural outcome.

And let consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:24,25

Inspiring

All men tend to follow the path of least resistance. Even though Christ calls us to give our lives away, we often become entangled by sin, fear, and selfish motives. In order to keep men from being pulled out of the battle, we want to inspire men to lead the kind of life that displays solid leadership, consistent spiritual growth and practical wisdom. We want men to be proud of the way they use their calendar and checkbook. We want our men to enjoy the challenges that God gives them, knowing that He is using those opportunities to mature them in their personal faith. Ideally, our men will both inspire others and then be inspired by others. The ultimate goal is to help each other stay on the path to higher ground, both in this life and in the one to come.

We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Thessalonians 1:3
